John Wiley and Sons Inc. announced today that it has been selected by
the Ecological Society of America (ESA) as its publishing partner for
its distinguished portfolio of scholarly journals in ecology. With over
10,000 members globally, the ESA is one of the largest and most highly
regarded professional organizations for researchers and scientists
working across the ecological sciences.
Beginning in January 2016, Wiley will assume publishing responsibility
for ESA’s diverse portfolio of publications which include its flagship
title, Ecology, and top-ranked journals, Ecological
Monographs, Ecological Applications and Frontiers in Ecology
and the Environment, as well as its premier Open Access
publications, Ecosphere and Ecosystem Health
and Sustainability. Wiley will also publish the Society’s
newsletter, The Bulletin of the Ecological Society of America, which
will be freely available on Wiley Online Library.
Founded in 1915, the ESA has been an influential leader in disseminating
knowledge and promoting awareness of the ecological sciences among
researchers, policy makers, and the broader community for 100 years. In
keeping with the ESA’s mission, the partnership will expand the global
reach and visibility of the ESA publications, and provide an enhanced
digital presence and exciting new services for ESA members, authors,
readers, and editors.
