The Korean Chemical Society and Wiley-VCH form long-term publishing partnership
Wiley-VCH, part of the scientific and technical publishing business of
John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (NYSE: JWa and JWb) and the Korean Chemical
Society have signed an agreement to closely cooperate and jointly
publish the Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society. The
journal will be available online from volume 2015 in Wiley Online
Library, one of the world’s most extensive multidisciplinary collections
of online resources, visited by 15 million users a month.
“The Korean Chemical Society and all its members are delighted to have
the co-publishing agreement in place. We are looking forward to a bright
future based on this monumental agreement which is built on mutual trust
and cooperation,” said Professor Hong-Seok Kim, President of the Korean
Chemical Society. “I am particularly pleased that individual society
members will enjoy complimentary access to the Bulletin of the
Korean Chemical Society in Wiley Online Library.”
Professor B. Moon Kim, Editor-in-Chief of the Bulletin of the
Korean Chemical Society commented: “State-of-the-art online presence
nowadays is a very important criterion for the sustainability of a
scientific journal. To see the first issue of the Bulletin of the
Korean Chemical Society in Wiley Online Library, under the same roof
as Angewandte Chemie and Chemistry – An Asian
Journal, confirms my conviction that our joint efforts will bring
highest quality standards, broad visibility and advanced international
reputation for the journal.”
Carina S. Kniep, Editorial Director, Wiley-VCH chemistry journals,
emphasized: “We feel honored that the Korean Chemical Society chose us
as the publishing partner for the Bulletin of the Korean
Chemical Society. The cooperation further strengthens our ties with
the chemistry community in Korea and builds on our existing partnership
for Chemistry – An Asian Journal, the Asian Journal
of Organic Chemistry and ChemNanoMat which are
co-owned by the Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES), consisting of
thirteen major chemical societies throughout Asia and the Pacific
region.”
