To some, saving $100,000 might sound impossible. Saving that much money in 3 years may sound even crazier, but Bola Sokunbi managed to do just that in a little over 3 years after she graduated college, driving her passion to help others manage their money and find financial independence.

Bola was inspired by her mother, who found her own financial independence later in life and worked many jobs in Nigeria in an effort to put her daughter through college in the US. Her mother’s sacrifice for her laid the foundation of Bola’s desire to be financially successful and independent herself. Through trial and error she applied the money lessons she learned from her parents to start saving and begin her own financial journey.

Along the way, Bola began noticing a recurring theme that women do not talk about money and financial wellness enough. Realizing that many women may not take control of their financial situation due to the lack of support or encouragement, Bola created Clever Girl Finance, a platform that empowers and educates women to achieve financial independence in order to live life on their own terms.

In the upcoming book, Clever Girl Finance, Bola, who is now a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI), shares her journey along with stories from other everyday women who have achieved financial independence. The actionable advice in Clever Girl Finance aims to help women to take control of their money and reach financial success by saving, budgeting, investing and managing their finances to build real wealth and to enhance their financial wellness. The book offers advice of how to make the most of a modest salary and still have money to spare, how to keep credit in check and clean up credit card chaos, how to start and succeed at a side hustle, and how to build a nest egg and invest in the future.

Clever Girl Finance is currently available for pre-order and will be available wherever books are sold on June 25th.
