SINGAPORE – June 4, 2019 – John Wiley and Sons, Inc. (NYSE:JWA)(NYSE:JWB), a global leader in research and education, and Gen Infiniti Academy (GIA), a training provider for quality technical education in Singapore, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand their existing partnership which provides internationally recognized course curriculum and certifications that enable the local community in Singapore to upskill their digital capabilities and prepare for future workforce.

This strategic collaboration offers WileyNXT’s courses and certifications, including Wiley Certified Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Finance and Accounting Analyst, Machine Learning and Python, to support the Singapore government’s wider efforts to accelerate digital transformation and bridge the digital skills gap in the job market. Under a government funding support initiative,  the Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme Plus (CITREP+), learners can enjoy up to one hundred percent subsidy of the net payable course and certification fees.

“The digital economy and seemingly endless technological changes are disrupting industries and creating new skills demands for working professionals in Singapore and around the world,” said Chor Meng Tan, Director of Asia Sales, Wiley. “Wiley is developing new business models to meet the unmet needs of today’s job market by helping learners better prepare for and adapt to work. As a major constituent in Singapore, we are committed to helping all Singaporeans achieve their learning and career goals.”

"Collaborating with Wiley was a milestone for the academy,” said Emmanual Tay, Founder and Director of Gen Infiniti Academy. “Our objective has always been to work with industrial leaders to bring structured and comprehensive learning experience to our learners. With Wiley’s branding and experience, we can provide our learners with the best learning experience.”

The MoU was signed at Gen Infiniti Academy’s Gen Up and Celebrate: Tech Skills of the Future event, which brought together nearly 100 attendees, including a group of pioneer Wiley Certified Data Analyst graduates. Since the launch of the course, it has attracted 200 enrollments from learners with various educational and professional backgrounds.
