As a global leader in education and research, Wiley is helping aid the global community by supporting students, educators, researchers and professionals who are contending with the increasing impact of COVID-19.

For the Education Community:
As a growing number of schools are being affected by COVID-19, Wiley is aiming to ensure instructors who need to teach remotely have the necessary tools to help their students.

• In the United States and Canada, instructors without an adopted online learning solution, such as WileyPLUS, Knewton Alta or zyBooks, can receive free access for their students for the remainder of the Spring 2020 term.

• Since we began offering resources to make the adoption easier, thousands of teachers have registered for instructional webinars, engaged with our tutorials or requested for online courseware access.

• We are partnering with organizations, like VitalSource, RedShelf, Barnes & Noble, and Follet, to offer most* academic eTextbooks free to students whose classes have moved online, as well as global library vendors ProQuest, Ebsco, and Askews to allow unrestricted user access to Wiley content.

• Wiley Education Services is expanding its partner support by providing additional technology licenses and assistance with course production and associated LMS support, as well as virtual office hours and resources to support educators who must rapidly transition to virtual instruction. Their Advancement Courses also provide a free micro-course (Launching Online Learning) for K-12 educators to quickly ramp-up online learning in their environment.

• Wiley Efficient Learning is offering free CPA, CMA, and CFA course access to new instructors and students for the remainder of the Spring 2020 term, as well as community resource and information pages.

• Wiley is also supporting “Tech for Learners,” a new web-based platform - created by SIIA in partnership with The White House - that offers a variety of education technology solutions to support online learning and remote school administration.

• In India, WileyNXT has developed new courses in Java Fullstack and AI-ML, as well as weekly webinars on emerging technologies and career development.

• In Australia, our Jacaranda school business is providing free digital resources to secondary schools for the upcoming Term 2.

• In Norway, we are have been working with Gyldendal, to provide Knewton enterprise access to every 3rd-6th student in Norway.

For the Research Community:

• Wiley has established free and open sites – updated in real-time and including links to more than 5,000 articles - where scientists and healthcare professionals can get access to the world’s best research on topics related to the coronavirus.

• The company has partnered with governments around the world to make all current and future research content available to Google Scholar, PubMed Central and other publicly funded repositories, such as the Wellcome Trust and WHO COVID-19 database, for as long as needed. Additionally, Scitrus, powered by Atypon's AI-driven personalized discovery application, launched a free, real-time feed of the latest research and news on COVID-19.

• And Wiley is taking immediate action to help address the critical shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline health workers confronting the COVID-19 crisis by encouraging our research community to donate PPE and supplies that may be stuck in closed labs.

For the Professional Community:
As the world navigates living and working virtually, many are without preparation or guidance about how to make that switch seamlessly.

• Wiley is providing free eBook access via Amazon and Apple Store to the bestselling title, The Year Without Pants, by Scott Berkun, detailing his transition to leading a remote team and navigating a work-from-home culture.

• Other useful resources recommended by Wiley that can help professionals stay connected and productive remotely include: Projects Without Boundaries: Successfully Leading Teams and Managing Projects in a Virtual World, Virtual Teams For Dummies, and The Power of Virtual Distance: A Guide to Productivity and Happiness in the Age of Remote Work.
