The Ministry of Finance of China recently issued a preliminary version of Basic Guidance of Management Accounting to strategically drive the development of management accounting in China. The implementation of the Guidance is expected to make management accounting adopted by a wider scope of organizations, boosting demand for professionals with relevant skills and certification.

“Management accounting has received tremendous endorsement and support from Chinese government.  We are very glad to collaborate with Wiley and Peking University to release the online course just in time for the growing demand,” said Junjiang Bai, Asia Pacific Director at IMA. “The WPMA course enables financial professionals and general management staff in all fields to master and implement globally-recognized management accounting fundamentals and best practices, and thus advance the development of management accounting in China,” he added.

To ensure that participants maximize learning and understanding, course participants will have access to three learning tools - instructional videos in Chinese or in English with Chinese subtitles, Chinese-language study text, and practice questions.

Level two gives course participants the knowledge, tools and practice necessary to empower them to successfully sit and pass their CMA certification examinations with the official CMA preparation material supported by IMA. “Built upon the CMA certification, which has been recognized and adopted by government agencies, large-scale companies, and tens of thousands of financial professionals in China during the past ten years, the WPMA online course offers a comprehensive review of skills that are in demand globally,” said Junjiang Bai.  Level two Wiley-Peking University CMA course will be released later in 2016.
